Therapeutic Arts  & Creative Coaching
Improving Your Mental Health One Brushstroke At A Time

Therapeutic Arts Practice offers weekly art groups, workshops and one-to-one sessions from a dedicated creative studio at the Brighton Open Market, as well as online and in London.

Founded by artist and therapeutic arts practitioner Anniek Verholt, the practice brings together over 25 years of experience working at the intersection of creativity, psychology and wellbeing. Anniek trained in art therapy in the Netherlands (BA, 1996–2000) before continuing her studies in the UK, where she completed an MA in Glass (Art & Design) at the National Glass Centre in Sunderland.

The practice supports adults, young people and children through periods of stress, anxiety, life transitions, burnout, loss and personal growth. Sessions use creative processes to encourage reflection, self-awareness and emotional resilience. No artistic experience is needed.

Alongside the Brighton studio, sessions are offered in London, online and within organisations, including healthcare settings, educational environments and workplaces. Workshops are tailored to promote creativity, connection and wellbeing in a wide range of contexts.

Whether you're looking for ongoing therapeutic support or a creative space to reconnect with yourself, the focus is on providing a calm, welcoming environment where exploration and personal development can unfold at your own pace.
