Creative Wellbeing Workshops for Workplaces & Organisations
Thoughtful, creative experiences that give people space to pause, connect and reset
Work can be demanding. Even in supportive organisations, people can find themselves moving from one task to the next with very little space to stop, reflect or reconnect.
I offer creative wellbeing workshops for workplaces and organisations looking for an engaging and meaningful way to support employee wellbeing, connection and reflection. Sessions combine accessible creative activities with guided reflection and practical approaches to emotional wellbeing. They are designed to feel welcoming and inclusive, with no expectation that participants are artistic or experienced in creative work. Workshops can be delivered as one-off sessions, as part of a wellbeing programme, or developed around the needs of your organisation.
Why creativity?
Creative activity offers a different kind of space from the usual workplace environment.
Stepping away from screens, conversation and problem-solving to work with colour, imagery and materials can help people slow their attention, notice how they are feeling and engage with themselves and others in a different way.
The emphasis is not on making good art. The creative process is used as a way to encourage reflection, curiosity and connection.
My approach draws on more than 25 years of experience in therapeutic arts, creative facilitation and education, alongside my professional practice as a contemporary artist.
Workshop options
Creative Reset: Pause, Notice, Reconnect
A restorative creative wellbeing workshop designed to give busy teams some genuine breathing space.
Participants are guided through accessible creative exercises, sensory awareness and reflection, creating an opportunity to step out of habitual working patterns and reconnect with themselves.
Particularly suitable for wellbeing programmes, team days, workplace events and periods of sustained pressure.
Working with Overwhelm
A thoughtful, practical workshop exploring what happens when demands begin to exceed our capacity.
Through guided reflection, creative exercises and simple grounding approaches, participants are encouraged to notice their own patterns around stress and overload and consider what helps them regain a greater sense of balance.
The session is educational and reflective rather than therapeutic treatment, allowing participants to engage at a level that feels comfortable to them.
Vision & Direction: Creative Vision Board Workshop
An opportunity to step away from immediate demands and consider the bigger picture. Using imagery, words and intuitive selection, participants create an individual visual board exploring what matters to them, where they would like to place their energy and what they would like to move towards.
The workshop creates space for reflection on priorities, motivation and direction while offering an enjoyable and accessible creative experience. It can work particularly well at the beginning of a year or new organisational period, during team development days, or at moments of transition and change.
Bespoke Creative Wellbeing Workshops
Sometimes an organisation has something more specific in mind. I can develop workshops around a particular theme, event or group, drawing on therapeutic arts, creativity, reflection and more than two decades of facilitation experience.
We begin with a conversation about your organisation, the participants and what you would like the session to offer. From there, I can suggest a format that feels appropriate rather than trying to fit your group into an existing workshop.
What participants can expect
Sessions are experiential, accessible and carefully facilitated. No previous art experience is needed, and participants are never expected to disclose personal information or explain what they have created.
These are wellbeing and reflective workshops rather than group therapy. Choice and personal boundaries are built into the way I facilitate, so people can participate without feeling put on the spot. Materials can be provided, and workshops can be adapted for different group sizes, settings and available time. In case you do not have a suitable space available or would like to organise something away from the office I may be able to help with a space in Baker Street, London.
About Anniek
I’m Anniek Verholt, a therapeutic arts practitioner, artist, educator and facilitator with more than 25 years of experience working with individuals and groups. My background brings together therapeutic practice, creative facilitation and an active contemporary art practice. This allows me to create sessions that take emotional wellbeing seriously while still feeling engaging, creative and appropriate within a professional environment.
I have worked across private practice, education, community and organisational settings and can adapt sessions to different groups without losing the thoughtfulness at the centre of the work.
Planning a workshop
If you are considering a creative wellbeing workshop for your organisation, get in touch with a little information about your team, preferred date, approximate number of participants and what you would like the session to support.
We can then discuss the most appropriate workshop, format and practical requirements.
