About the Programme
This 8-week art-based programme offers a gentle, supportive environment for anyone seeking a space to slow down, reduce stress, and explore self-expression in a calm and non-judgemental space.
Through simple and guided art-making—using watercolour and drawing techniques—you’ll learn tools to manage anxiety, overwhelm, and everyday stress in a nurturing and creative setting.
Who It’s For
This course is open to anyone looking for a regular moment of calm and creativity in their week. Whether you’re managing stress, recovering from burnout, or simply want a grounding and expressive practice, you’re welcome. No art experience is needed—just curiosity and the desire to pause and reflect.

Location: Brighton Open Market Studio
Mondays 2pm - 3.30pm or 6pm - 7.30pm
Sep1st, 8th, 22rd, 29th, Oct 6th, 20th, 27th Nov 3rd.

Your facilitator
The course is designed and facilitated by Anniek Verholt who is an experienced therapeutic arts practitioner, artist, and educator with over 25 years’ experience. Her calm and supportive approach combines a background in art therapy (BA Netherlands) and professional art practice (MA UK), helping people connect with themselves and support their wellbeing through creativity. Anniek has worked with individuals and groups across a range of settings and in locations worldwide—from her private practice in London to charities, prison, corporate settings and creative organisations.

Individual sessions are available online, in person in Brighton and London. The session rate is £130 with a limited number of slots available at a reduced rate for lower income clients.
